In ‘A Question of Suspense’ (1961), when corrupt businessman Tellman Drew (Peter Reynolds) is challenged by his colleague about his scheming Drew goes to any length to cover up his nefarious ways but a young woman, Rose Marples (Noelle Middleton), vies for revenge against him. In ‘The Marked One’ (1963) former crook Don Mason (William Lucas) is believed to be in possession of a number of forgery plates. In order to protect his family Mason does all he can to find the plates to finally be free from the unwanted attention. In ‘Clash By Night’ (1963) a prison bus is hijacked by a gang looking to free their boss Bart Rennison (Tom Bowman). The remaining prisoners are held hostage in a paraffin-soaked barn. However, one of the criminals, farmer Martin Lord (Terence Longdon), knows the barn well and attempts to get everyone out via a secret door. In ‘Scarlet Thread’ (1951) petty criminal Freddie (Laurence Harvey) teams up with mob boss Marcon (Sydney Tafler) to pull off a jewellery heist but their attempt does not go to plan and the situation gets quickly out of hand. In ‘You Pay Your Money’ (1957), an assistant to a manuscript smuggler (Hugh McDermott) falls into trouble when his wife (Honor Blackman) is kidnapped by an extremist group demanding some of the valuable texts. ‘Terror By Night’ (1946) stars Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes who is tasked with protecting the Star of Rodesia diamond as it makes its way from London to Edinburgh aboard a sleeper train along with his reliable partner, Dr. Watson (Nigel Bruce). In ‘Rogue’s Yarn’ (1956) unfaithful husband John Marsden (Derek Bond) murders his wife and believes he has the perfect alibi to get away with the crime. But as Inspector Walker (Elwyn Brook-Jones) investigates he grows increasingly convinced that Marsden is not telling the whole truth. Finally, in ‘Freedom to Die’ (1961) when con man Craig (Paul Maxwell) is freed from prison he is determined to obtain the loot that saw him imprisoned in the first place. However, promoter Felix (Bruce Seton) is not keen on sharing the fortune and hires a hitman to take Craig out.
