Three cult British sex comedies directed by Stanley Long. In ‘Adventures of a Plumbers Mate’ (1978), Sid South (Christopher Neil) gets to meet lots of lusty young ladies through his work, but looks to have landed himself in really hot water when he ends up with a heavy gambling debt. In ‘Adventures of a Private Eye’ (1977), while his boss is away, assistant private eye Bob West (Neil) helps a model who is being blackmailed with some compromising photographs. He discovers a dead body in a stately home, before becoming involved with a kinky housewife and ending up at a sexy cabaret club. Finally, in ‘Adventures of a Taxi Driver’ (1976), young cabbie Joe (Barry Evans) has no trouble picking up young girls, who are more than willing to give him a fun ride in turn for a ride. Unfortunately, Joe’s back-seat shenanigans look set to land him in a whole lot of trouble when his cab is hijacked by a gang of jewel thieves.
