Set in London in 1763, the show revolves around businesswomen Margaret Wells (Morton) and Lydia Quigley (Manville) who own rival brothels in the capital. In this series, Margaret’s eldest daughter Charlotte (Brown Findlay) feels threatened by the opening of a new tavern by the Pincher brothers, Isaac (Alfie Allen) and Hal (Ash Hunter), and she does all she can to ensure that the ongoing prosperity of her industry is not harmed, resulting in a feud with the new arrivals.
