In ‘Dead Man’s Eyes’ (1944) when artist Dave Stuart (Chaney) is blinded, his only opportunity to regain his sight will require him to commit a heinous crime. ‘The Frozen Ghost’ (1945) is set in a wax museum where a newly arrived stage hypnotist (Chaney) with a shady past is one of many characters inhabiting the uncanny gallery.
