Nicholas Ray directs this 1940s thriller starring Cathy O’Donnell and Farley Granger. When three prisoners escape from jail in Mississippi, one of them, 23-year-old Bowie (Granger), dreams of starting a new rural life with his girlfriend Keechie (O’Donnell).
